The Kingfisher Community Centre is across the river and several kilometres up the road with a community hall, tennis and sports field, a shared library and other assets. The Kingfisher Interpretive Centre Society, a not-for profit, volunteer driven community based salmon hatchery and environmental education centre is downsteam.
