Wanted: Ecological farmers & entrepreneurs
Farm Village: Neighbourly Farm
Location: near Dornoch, Grey County, Ontario (Applicants must be available for an in-person meeting onsite.)

Neighbourly Farm is a growing community of ecological farmers, craftspersons and food-based entrepreneurs, based on a vision of affordable long-term land access in a farm village setting in Grey County, Ontario.

Residents become co-owners through the partnership that owns the land, similar in some ways to a housing co-op. Each household runs their own independent enterprise. There is relatively little group decision-making, but philosophically aligned neighbours are ready to lend each other tools, equipment or a helping hand when needed.

We are ready to welcome our next household this summer. Here are some enterprise ideas, to give you a sense of scope:

• Butchery
• Fermented foods
• Market gardening
• Beekeeping
• Large-scale compost-making
• Herbalism
• Flowers & small fruit
• Mushroom cultivation
• Baking
• Experiential education
• Other food, ag-related or land-based enterprises… bring us your proposals!
